After you customize the order through the web app, you click the button (which doubles as a refrigerator magnet) and voila, your pizza is on the way. You can also customize the order on the go by turning the button, which has a display showing you the wait time for your pizza. The display can be used additionally for promotional messages or offers from the pizza vendor for example, if it’s your birthday, the button might alert you that today you can get two pizzas for the price of one.
BARCELONA – These days, it’s not hard to order a pizza — you can do it over the phone, through an app, or even on your Xbox. But still, some dream of a future in which ordering a pizza is always just one click away.
At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, an Italian startup called La Comanda is demoing a prototype of Click’N’Pizza, a gadget that makes ordering a pizza a one-click experience.
The button connects to your house’s Wi-Fi, and has a battery that lasts about ten days, after which you’ll need to recharge it via a standard microUSB cable.
The idea is not new; in 2012, we saw a very similar solution called the VIP Fridge Magnet in Dubai.
